A Parent's Guide to a Teen's First Wax: Brows, Lip & More
A fact-checked parent’s guide to a teen’s first wax: practical first-service ideas, Accutane and skin-safety precautions, minor-policy questions, and access planning at Wax Me Too’s six Utah locations.
Let the teen lead
Waxing should be a teen’s personal choice, free from pressure. Brows and upper lip are common first-service conversations.
Before you book
Confirm the studio’s current policy for minors, including consent and guardian-presence requirements. Contact the preferred location in advance about parking, entry, mobility, sensory, or other access needs.
Accutane and skin safety
Accutane is a common name for isotretinoin. Do not wax while taking it or for six months after the last dose. The American Academy of Dermatology says both hot and cold wax can cause permanent scars during this period. Avoid waxing sunburned, very sensitive, broken, or irritated skin.
